I agree with you here. It is all the non-IT specific things you need to master to be excellent at this IMO. And try not to get burned out. And say out loud to the mirror "man, whey are people so stupid" w/o saying it to their face to vent and relieve stress.

Self confidence. Creativity. Make something from nothing. Senior people do that all the time. Junior people can at least follow but eventually SR people do not want to babysit. Need them to graduate up to at least mid-level or be able to run on their own.
